Worker’s Compensation first requires authorization from your primary care provider.
A note about Medicare: Federal Medicare does not have acupuncture benefits because, even if your plan has acupuncture benefits, Medicare will not pay acupuncturists as they do not recognize us as medical providers. You must find a medical doctor (MD) to provide the acupuncture service for Medicare to pay for the service. If you have supplementary Medicare, acupuncture benefits depend on your plan but it is likely that you have coverage. Please reach out regarding this if you have additional questions.
